What proof of employment do I need for retail registration on ExpertVoice?
Retail registration: Proof of employment requirements
To ensure a high-quality experience for our members, ExpertVoice requires proof of employment during registration.
What we accept:
- Pay stubs: Submit a recent pay stub from your organization. It must clearly show the retailer's name, your full name, and the pay dates. Please ensure the pay stub is dated within the last 30 days to confirm current employment. You can blackout any sensitive information before submitting.
- For other options, read this help guide >
Need assistance? If you're unable to provide a pay stub, please contact your HR team for assistance in obtaining the necessary documentation. Providing this proof helps us ensure you're placed in the correct team, giving you access to the latest brand education and discounts tailored to your role.
Why was my retail application on ExpertVoice denied?
If your retail application was denied, the email you received will include a message explaining why your submission didn’t meet the requirements for approval.
Common reasons for denial:
-
Incomplete or invalid documents: The most frequent reason for denial is that the uploaded document didn’t include essential information, such as your full name, retailer’s name, recent dates or store location. In some cases, documents with inconsistencies or that appear to be edited may also lead to denial.
-
Wrong team selection: Occasionally, applicants may apply to the wrong team. When this happens, our credentialing team might manually add you to the correct team or provide you with a link to the appropriate team. However, if there isn’t a suitable team for you, this could also result in a denial.
-
Flagged profile: If your profile is flagged due to variances or inconsistencies with your account information, this may also lead to a denial.
Please reapply to qualify for a team on ExpertVoice and unlock your deals!
What happens to my brand access if I stop working at a retailer?
- If you leave your retailer job, you may lose access to certain brands on ExpertVoice. However, this doesn’t mean you’ll lose access forever. By updating your qualification, you might regain access to some of the brands you previously enjoyed.
How to update qualifications on ExpertVoice >
Keep your account accessible:
- To avoid losing access to your ExpertVoice account, we recommend using a personal email address (i.e., Gmail) as your login instead of your retailer email. This ensures we can still communicate with you even if you change jobs. For instance, if you initially sign up with an @REI.com email but leave REI, you might miss important updates. But with a personal email, you’ll stay connected.
Explore other teams:
- Remember, some professions have their own teams on ExpertVoice, regardless of your employer. Whether you're an outdoor instructor, veterinarian, personal trainer or in a similar role, you may still qualify for exclusive access to brands. We encourage you to explore other ExpertVoice teams by visiting our who qualifies page for more information.
